For the second year running independent and family-run broker, Ashbourne Insurance are proud sponsors of this year’s “Ambition 2016 Boost your Sales & Marketing” Conference, an inspirational charity fundraising event. It takes place on Monday 14th November between 9:30am and 4pm at the High Leigh Conference Centre, Hoddesdon. Last year’s profits raised a staggering £3000 which went in equal donations to two local charities close to the hearts of Ashbourne staff and customers: Teens Unite of Broxbourne and Isabel Hospice based in Welwyn Garden City. Both charities have been supported by Ashbourne for many years.The first event in 2015 was a sell-out with 120 delegates from manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, start-ups and the professions from across the county.
Ambition 2016 is a collaborative event organised by volunteers from the following businesses including: Andy Lopata, Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce, Ashbourne Insurance, Handelsbanken-Hertford, Broxbourne Borough Council, Cariad Marketing, Herts & Essex News, Creative Star, Alison Jenkins Photography, Curwens Solicitors, Skeltons Wealth Management, UOE, Duffield Harrison, HB Accountants, The Hertfordshire Business Independent and various others.
Ambition 2016’s keynote speaker will be Jack Ismail, the Retail Operations Director of Specsavers who has worked with and observed some of the very best retail leaders in action such as M&S, Home Retail Group and Whitbread and will be sharing some of his experiences.
Other speakers will be giving practical advice on day-to-day branding and marketing. Flying in from California for the event is Lesley Everett, who specialises in corporate and personal brands. Lesley has often appeared on UK and US TV as a commentator on branding and image of people in the public eye. She is the founder of Walking TALL, an executive brand coaching organisation.
David McQueen, who has worked with and interviewed Richard Branson and had his own Channel 4 show, ‘Vocation, Vocation, Vocation’, is passionate about showing people what good speaking and presentation looks like.
Janey Lee Grace, who is probably best known for being a co-presenter on BBC Radio 2’s Steve Wright in the Afternoon, is a marketing and brand ambassador coach, media trainer and best-selling author of You Are The Brand.
Andy Lopata is a leading authority on networking and referrals, and has been called ‘One of Europe’s leading business networking strategists’ by the Financial Times.
The conference will be moderated by former West Ham tannoy announcer Jeremy Nicholas, an award winning TV and radio broadcaster who’s best known for his sports reports, BBC regional news reports and for being the voice for FIFA 16.
