Ashbourne Insurance Twice Delighted At FSB 2014 Awards

Cheshunt and Hoddesdon-based Ashbourne Insurance was announced as a Broxbourne Business of the Year at the prestigious FSB Hertfordshire Business Awards 2014 on June 12th 2014.

The judges were united in their comments regarding why Ashbourne deserved to win and they included, “Very sound, well established, family owned firm demonstrating great resilience and ambition to succeed.  A real focus on providing the local community with excellent service. A real champion for the Borough of Broxbourne.”

The judges included representatives from organisations such as: Pitney Bowes, the FSB, Hertfordshire LEP, University of Herts, Austin’s Funeral Homes, Local Councils, Herts & Essex Newspapers and others.

The award is a reflection of the ongoing outstanding advisory work that our team provide to thousands of residents and businesses of the borough each and every day. Ashbourne’s second award went to Paul Richardson, Retail Sales Manager who faced worthy opponents in the Employee of the Year category. Paul was entered for the award after he won Ashbourne’s own “Ashbourne Awards” in 2013. He triumphed as FSB Herts “Employee of the Year 2014” in the judge’s opinion because, “Paul is a passionate and enthusiastic individual who appears to have kept his sense of fun. He is obviously a dynamic and enthusiastic member of the Ashbourne team who produces exceptional results. Paul clearly leads by example and from the front.”

Sarah Smits, Finance Director further commented, “We are very proud of all our staff at Ashbourne and it was impossible to decide which team member to put forward as our Employee of the Year; so we held an internal awards competition that allowed everyone to get involved. Paul’s application with substantiating evidence was outstanding.  His performance at the FSB Business Awards in another indicator that Ashbourne nurture staff to be the best they can be. Congratulations Paul!”
