Due to COVID-19 pandemic, marathons and other charity events up and down the UK have been cancelled, resulting in charities missing out on much needed fundraising.
On Saturday June 13th 2020 between 7am to 7pm, Paul Richardson, Retail Sales Manager at Ashbourne Insurance and two friends are taking part in a mammoth one-mile relay race to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. As one runner completes a mile the next runner sets out for their mile and so on. The aim is to accumulate as many miles in the 12-hour period as possible. One runner must always be out ‘on course’ throughout the 12 hours.
Paul said, “Breast Cancer has directly impacted both our family and friendship groups in the past few years and having the opportunity to help support this charity and all that they do is brilliant. The care given by Breast Cancer Now to those people affected by secondary breast cancer is tremendous and, for it to continue, support is needed. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and a huge thank you in advance for any donations that you give.”
